Plastic hinges suit lids, lightweight doors, cases and panels. This range brings together piano hinges, flexible hinges, spring piano hinges and hinge kits for display cases, enclosures and boxes. The materials are grouped as acrylic / polycarbonate, with clear and coloured versions across the range.
What is the difference between a piano hinge and a flexible hinge?
Piano hinges provide continuous support along the length of the fitted hinge. Flexible hinges use a living hinge with continuous flex and no metal pin. These are different hinge constructions for lightweight lids, doors and panels.
The range also includes a hinge and latch kit, bringing both parts together for a lid or door, and a self-adhesive acrylic hinge kit for adhesive fixing. Acrylic spring hinge kits and an acrylic magnetic hinge kit are separate options.
Are clear plastic hinges suitable for display cases?
Yes. Clear hinges offer high transparency for display cases and transparent lids where the hinge remains visible. The acrylic / polycarbonate material is strong, lightweight and durable, and the plastic does not rust. Its surface will not scratch contacting panels.
The plastic material is also non-magnetic and electrically insulating, making plastic hinge bodies useful for enclosure work where those properties matter. Clear styles include piano hinges, flexible hinges and spring piano hinges, as well as self-adhesive and magnetic hinge kits.
What sizes and colours do plastic hinges come in?
Lengths span 16 mm to 1150 mm across the whole range. Size, colour and pack quantity vary between individual hinge designs.
- Colours across the range include clear, black, white, smoked black, red, yellow, blue, green and purple.
- Pack quantities are 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 10, depending on the hinge or kit.
Volume discounts and quotes on request are available for larger quantities of piano hinges, flexible hinges and spring hinges.
