What properties does PVC offer in a grub screw?

PVC is water-resistant, durable and electrically insulating. It resists abrasion and impact, and has chemical stability against acids, alkalis, oils and most inorganic chemicals. These properties are relevant where the fastening may encounter damp conditions or chemical contact.

How does a slotted set screw fit?

The screw fits into a matching threaded hole and is tightened through its end with a flat-bladed screwdriver. Its headless form avoids a projecting bolt head. The required thread diameter and length depend on the hole and the intended fastening position.
