At M4 x 1000mm, the category becomes long, fine-thread plastic studding rather than a short fixing. The current options are natural nylon PA66 and white PTFE, both using a 0.7mm metric pitch.

What should drive the material choice?

PA66 is the tougher, more wear-oriented option for repeated thread engagement, while PTFE is useful where low friction or broad chemical compatibility matters. The one-metre length can be kept intact or measured and cut into shorter threaded sections.
