    • Acrylic and polycarbonate are similar thermoplastics often used interchangeably. Acrylic gives good strength and UV resistance; polycarbonate gives higher impact and heat resistance.
    • Acrylic piano hinges offer smooth opening and closing. They can open to a wide 270° angle.
    • Ideal for display cabinets, shelving, aquarium lids, acrylic boxes, jewellery boxes, display stands and small cabinets.
    • Acrylic piano hinges can also be installed using glue (not supplied). Flush and grooved finishes allow quick and easy gluing. Also known as continuous hinges, full-length hinges.

    Product Summary

    A piano hinge, also known as a continuous hinge, consists of two equal leaves joined by a pin. Plastic acrylic continuous hinges are a low-profile alternative to metal hinges that require drilling or additional fabrication to install. They offer smooth opening and closing without compromising stability. Polished bevelled edges provide a neat, finished look. The hinges can be glued on, and grooves provide a surface for adhesive contact. Bonding adhesive is not supplied. Gluing can replace mechanical fasteners, avoiding drilling, grinding, refinishing, screwing, welding and clean-up. The hinges are manufactured to high specifications and tolerances using strong materials and quality-controlled production methods.
