- Glass-fibre reinforced: stiffer, with higher tensile and flexural strength than unfilled PA66
- Higher heat deflection temperature and lower moisture absorption than unfilled PA66; the bolts do not rust and are non-magnetic
- The hex head sits above the surface, so a spanner or socket can grip it to tighten or loosen the bolts; also called hex bolts, hexagon head screws, plastic bolts or plastic screws
