These countersunk cross head bolts are made from nylon PA66 that contains 50% glass fibre. The heat deflection temperature of PA66+GF is higher than that of unreinforced PA66, so the composite can withstand higher temperatures before deforming under load. It has reduced moisture absorption and improved tensile and flexural strength. The countersunk head sits flush with the surface when fitted in a countersunk hole. These fasteners are also known as plastic bolts or plastic screws.
