Product Summary
PEEK (polyetheretherketone) is a high-performance engineering plastic with outstanding resistance to harsh chemicals. It offers hydrolysis resistance to steam, water, and sea water. This engineering thermoplastic exhibits high mechanical strength, dimensional stability and exceptional flexural, impact and tensile properties. It also has anti-corrosion properties and high dielectric strength at elevated temperatures. PEEK can be used in hot water or steam environments while maintaining its physical properties. Unique as a high performance semi-crystalline plastic, it offers excellent chemical resistance to most acids, bases and organic solvents. At high temperatures, it can be attacked by some strong acids, halogens, halogenated compounds and aliphatic hydrocarbons. PEEK can be used continuously at temperatures up to 250 °C.
