POM / Polyoxymethylene

POM hex head bolts are white acetal fasteners with high stiffness and a low-friction material surface. The range includes M12 and M16 threads, with lengths from 60 to 150 mm across the products. Packs contain 5 or 10 bolts, depending on the option. Their external hexagonal heads accept a spanner or socket for tightening.

Why use POM for a plastic hex head bolt?

POM holds its shape well and has low moisture absorption, making it useful where a rigid fastening is needed for workshop repairs or electrical enclosures. It provides excellent electrical insulation and is moisture-resistant. The material also offers excellent resistance to oils, solvents and fuels, although strong acids and alkalis limit its chemical suitability. These bolts will not rust and are non-magnetic, combining those plastic fastening properties with the stiffness of acetal.
