- Clear polycarbonate gives a lightweight, non-metallic fixing for small assemblies where a metal screw is not required.
- The plastic body helps avoid metal-to-metal contact and is useful around light-duty display, control and instrument work.
- Headless shape can be wound into the thread so the finished surface stays neat and snag-free.
- Straight slotted drive works with a standard flat-blade screwdriver, making fitting and adjustment straightforward. Also known as set screws, headless screws.
Product Summary
These M3 x 6 mm slotted grub screws are made from clear polycarbonate and supplied in packs of 50. The headless body screws into a tapped hole and can sit level with, or just below, the surrounding surface. A single straight slot allows adjustment with a standard flat-blade screwdriver. The clear plastic body is useful where a small, non-metallic fixing is preferred, especially in light-duty positioning, spacing, display, control and instrument assemblies. Acrylic and polycarbonate are similar thermoplastics often used interchangeably. Acrylic gives good strength and UV resistance; polycarbonate gives higher impact and heat resistance.
