    • The living hinge is extruded from high-impact acrylic and a urethane elastomer. Its slim, low-profile design offers long flex-life and impact resistance.
    • A thin, flexible section connects two rigid sections so they can open and close. Unlike conventional hinges, living hinges do not rely on two separate leaves rotating around a central pin.
    • Tape is durable and weather resistant, withstanding UV light, moisture and extreme temperatures. Its viscoelastic design ensures a strong bond, adapts to surfaces and resists solvents with closed-cell technology.
    • Translucent double-sided, pressure-sensitive tape provides a strong instant adhesive bond. Peel off the backing and press onto the surface for a low-visibility fixing. Also known as living hinges, pinless hinges.

    Living hinges are also known as integral hinges. These hinges work best in flat applications rather than wrapped around a 90-degree corner, unless a hasp or lock is used. These black acrylic / polycarbonate hinges have a slim, low-profile design and are extruded from high-impact acrylic and a urethane elastomer. A thin, flexible section allows the two rigid sections to open and close without a separate hinge pin. Pre-applied translucent double-sided mounting tape delivers a strong bond. The pressure-sensitive adhesive bonds on contact to provide immediate handling strength. Peel off the backing and press onto a suitable clean surface for installation without glue. Acrylic and polycarbonate are similar thermoplastics often used interchangeably; acrylic gives good strength and UV resistance, while polycarbonate gives higher impact and heat resistance.
