    Living hinges are also known as integral hinges. These hinges work best in flat applications rather than wrapped around a 90-degree corner, unless a hasp or lock is used. Acrylic and polycarbonate are similar thermoplastics often used interchangeably; acrylic gives good strength and UV resistance, while polycarbonate gives higher impact and heat resistance.
