- Il PEEK offre eccellente resistenza alla maggior parte degli acidi, delle basi e dei solventi organici. Alcuni acidi forti possono però degradarlo ad alte temperature.
- Il PEEK mantiene la sua forma e le sue proprietà meccaniche a temperature variabili, dimostrando un'elevata stabilità dimensionale.
- Il PEEK è adatto all'uso continuo fino a 250 °C e ha un punto di fusione di 343 °C.
- La testa esagonale rimane al di sopra della superficie per facilitare l'accesso durante il montaggio, la rimozione e il rimontaggio. Noti anche come bulloni esagonali, viti a testa esagonale.
Il PEEK è un tecnopolimero robusto e rigido con eccellente resistenza chimica, elevata resistenza alla trazione e agli urti e buona stabilità dimensionale. Resiste all'idrolisi dovuta a vapore, acqua e acqua di mare e mantiene la rigidità ad alte temperature. È adatto all'uso continuo fino a 250 °C e offre buone proprietà di isolamento elettrico anche a temperature elevate.
